A production cel and background setup from the Walt Disney Studios animated film “T-Bone for Two” (1942). Featuring Pluto watching as Butch digs a hole, the hand-painted cel and background were created at the studio and used during the animation process. The cels and background are actual frames of animation that were photographed and appear in the film. Butch matches the background and Pluto’s image is separated by a few seconds in the short. Measuring 16”x18.5” framed with mat opening measuring 7.75”x10.25”, and the character image measuring 3.75”x6.5”, the setup is in very good condition, unexamined outside of the frame. Pluto’s cel appears to be trimmed to image, there is slight rippling across the cel layers, and minor wear overall to the frame.
