A production cel from the Marvel Studios animated series "X-Men" (1992-1997). Featuring Araki and Lilandra discussing how the Shi'ar should protect the universe from the Dark Phoenix, the hand-painted cel was created at the studio and used during the animation process. The cel is an actual frame of animation that was photographed and appears in the season three episode "The Dark Phoenix Saga, Part IV: The Fate of the Phoenix," which aired on November 26, 1994. Measuring 9"x10.5" overall, with the character image measuring 6.25"x6.5", the cel is in very good condition with minor surface wear including scratches, black line fade, and paper transfer stuck to the reverse of the paint from storage and studio use. The cel has been paired with a reproduction color copy background for display purposes.
